 Deer Dreams
Got Rheumatism? 
 
According to ancient Cherokee myth in James Mooney's History, Myths, and Sacred Formulas of the Cherokee:
 
  "Rheumatism is usually ascribed to the work of revengeful deer ghosts, which the hunter has neglected to placate, while on the other hand the aid of the deer is invoked against frostbite, as its feet are believed to be immune from injury by frost."  (Historical Images: Asheville, NC. 1992)
 
How can this be connected to dream symbolism... Many dreams have a prophetic nature when it comes to the health of our bodies.  If you have had a dream about hunting deer and have been feeling achey or your feet/legs hurt...maybe it's a sign that you need a check-up!
